1. Who this policy covers

This policy explains how Build My Longevity ("we", "us", "our") collects, holds, uses and discloses personal information through buildmylongevity.com.au (the "Site"), including the comparison table, the "Take the quiz", and any related pages.

Build My Longevity trades as Build My Longevity. Contact details are at the end of this policy. We handle personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

2. What we collect

Just browsing the Site: standard technical/usage data (pages viewed, referring site, browser type, approximate location from IP address) via our analytics tool, plus cookies — see Section 8.

Using the "Take the quiz": your answers to the quiz questions (what you're hoping to get out of it, test category, budget band, location, optional preferences). If you choose to receive your results by email, or to share your details with a matching provider: your name and email address.

Contacting us directly: whatever you include in an email or contact form (name, email, and the content of your message).

We do not ask for, and you should never need to give us, any Medicare number, medical record, test result, or other clinical information. The quiz asks about your interest and preferences — it is not a health assessment, and nothing you enter is reviewed by a clinician on our end.

3. Why we collect it

We only use personal information for the purpose we collected it for, or a purpose you'd reasonably expect:

To run and improve the Site and the quiz.
To generate your shortlist of matching providers.
To email you your shortlist, if you asked for that.
To share your name, email address and relevant quiz answers with the provider(s) that match your quiz selections, if you opted in to that (see Section 4).
To respond if you contact us directly.
To meet legal obligations (e.g. responding to a lawful request from a regulator).

This is the core disclosure this policy exists to make clearly.

If you complete the "Take the quiz" and tick the box to share your details, you agree that we may share your name, email address, and relevant quiz answers with the provider(s) that match your quiz selections.

Only matching providers. We share your details only with the provider(s) that match what you selected in the quiz — never with every provider in our database, and never sold, rented, or broadly distributed to third parties in general.
Unticked by default. We don't keep your details to contact you ourselves — this tick exists only to pass your details to a matching provider, nothing else.
What happens after that is between you and the provider(s). Once we've shared your details, each provider's own privacy policy governs how they handle it.
You can skip this entirely. The comparison table and your quiz shortlist are fully visible without giving us any contact details. Sharing your details with a provider is optional, not a condition of using the Site.

Withdrawing consent: if you change your mind after ticking the box but before we've shared it, contact us immediately (Section 11) and we'll do our best to stop the disclosure. Once a provider has already received your details, you'll need to contact that provider directly about their handling of it.

5. Other disclosures

Outside of Section 4, we only disclose personal information:

To service providers who help us run the Site (e.g. website hosting, email delivery) — bound by confidentiality and only able to use the data to provide that service to us.
If required or authorised by Australian law.
With your separate, explicit consent for anything else.

We do not disclose personal information overseas except where our hosting or service providers store data on servers located outside Australia (see Section 9).

6. Direct marketing

We don't send direct marketing. The Site has no mailing list, and the quiz doesn't ask you to opt in to updates from us — the only thing your details are ever used for, with your separate consent, is being passed to a matching provider (Section 4). We never use quiz data for direct marketing by a third party either.

7. No medical advice, and what that means for your data

Build My Longevity is a comparison and matching tool, not a healthcare provider. We do not interpret test results, diagnose, or give personal health recommendations, and quiz answers are not reviewed by any clinician on our side. This matters for privacy too: we hold your quiz preferences, not clinical data, and we don't retain or use anything beyond what's needed to generate your shortlist and — only with your consent — share it with a matching provider.

8. Cookies and analytics

The Site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics for aggregated, anonymised traffic reporting (e.g. which pages are popular), and cookies only where needed for core site functionality. Cloudflare Web Analytics does not use cookies or any client-side state to track individuals, and does not fingerprint visitors. We do not use cookies to build advertising profiles or share browsing data with ad networks.

9. Where your data is stored

The Site itself is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. At present, the "Take the quiz" quiz's optional lead-capture step is delivered via your own email client directly to contact@buildmylongevity.com.au — it is not submitted to or stored on any third-party form or database by the Site itself. If a dedicated form or email-delivery service is added later, this section will be updated to name that provider and confirm where it stores data, including whether that is outside Australia (which would trigger additional obligations under APP 8).

10. Security

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss, and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure — including restricting who can access quiz submissions and using secure, reputable hosting and email providers. No online system is 100% secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security of information transmitted to us.

We keep personal information only as long as reasonably needed for the purpose it was collected, then delete or de-identify it.

11. Access, correction, and complaints

You can ask us at any time to:

Tell you what personal information we hold about you.
Correct information that's wrong or out of date.
Delete your information, where we're not required to keep it for a legal reason.

To do any of this, or to make a privacy complaint, contact us at: contact@buildmylongevity.com.au. We'll acknowledge your request and respond within a reasonable time (typically 30 days).

If you're not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) — website: oaic.gov.au, phone: 1300 363 992.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the Site changes. The current version will always be posted here, with the date it was last updated. Material changes (for example, a new category of data we collect, or a new type of third party we share with) will be called out clearly, not buried in a routine update.

Last updated: 10 September 2026 — the quiz's general-marketing-updates opt-in was removed; we no longer collect consent for, or send, direct marketing at all (see Section 6).
