Privacy policy

1. Who this policy covers

This policy explains how Build My Longevity ("we", "us", "our") collects, holds, uses and discloses personal information through buildmylongevity.com.au (the "Site"), including the comparison pages, the quiz, the contact form and any related pages.

Build My Longevity trades as Build My Longevity. Contact details are at the end of this policy. We handle personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

2. What we collect

Just browsing the Site: standard technical/usage data (pages viewed, referring site, browser type, approximate location from IP address) via our analytics tool, plus cookies — see Section 8.

Taking the quiz: your answers to the quiz questions (what you're hoping to get out of it, test category, budget, city, optional preferences) are processed entirely in your own browser to build your shortlist. They are not sent to us, not stored by the Site, and not shared with any provider. Copying or printing your shortlist happens on your device. When you close or reload the page, your answers are gone.

Contacting us: what you include in the contact form: your name, your email address if you choose to give it (only needed if you want a reply), the subject and your message.

We do not ask for, and you should never need to give us, any Medicare number, medical record, test result, or other clinical information. The quiz asks about your interest and preferences — it is not a health assessment, and nothing you enter is reviewed by a clinician on our end.

3. Why we collect it

We only use personal information for the purpose we collected it for, or a purpose you'd reasonably expect:

• To run and improve the Site and the quiz.
• To respond if you contact us directly.
• To meet legal obligations (e.g. responding to a lawful request from a regulator).

4. Your quiz answers stay with you

The quiz doesn't ask for your name or email address, and it has no option to send your details to a provider. Your answers are used in your own browser to build your shortlist, and nothing you enter in the quiz reaches us.

We do not share your details with any provider listed on the Site. If you decide to contact a provider, you do that directly on its own site, and its own privacy policy applies.

5. Other disclosures

We only disclose personal information:

• To service providers who help us run the Site (e.g. website hosting, email delivery) — bound by confidentiality and only able to use the data to provide that service to us.
• If required or authorised by Australian law.
• With your separate, explicit consent for anything else.

We do not disclose personal information overseas except where our hosting or service providers store data on servers located outside Australia (see Section 9).

6. Direct marketing

We don't send direct marketing. The Site has no mailing list, and the quiz doesn't collect your contact details. We never use quiz data for direct marketing by a third party either.

7. No medical advice, and what that means for your data

Build My Longevity is a comparison and matching tool, not a healthcare provider. We do not interpret test results, diagnose, or give personal health recommendations, and quiz answers are not reviewed by any clinician on our side. This matters for privacy too: we don't hold your quiz answers or any clinical data.

8. Cookies and analytics

The Site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics for aggregated, anonymised traffic reporting (e.g. which pages are popular), and cookies only where needed for core site functionality. Cloudflare Web Analytics does not use cookies or any client-side state to track individuals, and does not fingerprint visitors. We do not use cookies to build advertising profiles or share browsing data with ad networks. We also count clicks on links to other websites, as daily totals for each page and destination website. This uses no cookies or identifiers, and we don't store your IP address or anything else about you with these counts.

9. Where your data is stored

The Site itself is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. The quiz sends nothing to us.

The Contact page uses Web3Forms, a third-party form-to-email service, to deliver your message to us directly without publishing our email address on the Site. This means your Contact form submission is briefly processed and stored by Web3Forms on infrastructure that may be located outside Australia, before being forwarded to us and deleted from their systems (Web3Forms' own retention period applies until then) — this is disclosed here under Australian Privacy Principle 8 (cross-border disclosure). We use Web3Forms only to receive your message; it doesn't add you to any mailing list, and we don't share Contact submissions with anyone else. Web3Forms' own privacy policy governs its handling of data in transit.

10. Security

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss, and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure — including restricting who can read contact messages and using secure, reputable hosting and email providers. No online system is 100% secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security of information transmitted to us.

We keep personal information only as long as reasonably needed for the purpose it was collected, then delete or de-identify it.

11. Access, correction, and complaints

You can ask us at any time to:

• Tell you what personal information we hold about you.
• Correct information that's wrong or out of date.
• Delete your information, where we're not required to keep it for a legal reason.

To do any of this, or to make a privacy complaint, contact us through our contact form. We'll acknowledge your request and respond within a reasonable time (typically 30 days).

If you're not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) — website: oaic.gov.au, phone: 1300 363 992.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the Site changes. The current version will always be posted here, with the date it was last updated. Material changes (for example, a new category of data we collect, or a new type of third party we share with) will be called out clearly, not buried in a routine update.

Last updated: 8 Nov 2026. We now count clicks on links to other websites as daily totals (Section 8). Previously, 3 November 2026: the quiz no longer asks for your name or email address and no longer offers to share your details with a provider: your answers stay in your browser (Sections 2, 3, 4, 6, 7, 9 and 10). Previously, 10 October 2026: privacy requests and questions now go through the contact form instead of an email address, and the quiz's "Send my details" step is now delivered through Web3Forms instead of your email app. Previously, 11 September 2026: added the Contact page and named Web3Forms as the third-party service that delivers its submissions to us, including the cross-border disclosure this requires under APP 8 (see Section 9). Previously, 10 September 2026: the quiz's general-marketing-updates opt-in was removed; we no longer collect consent for, or send, direct marketing at all (see Section 6).
